![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
level: B A Curving Walkway Publications Deceivious (mischievously deceptive--or deceptively mischievous) is a short piece with three parts each playing a snare drum. The piece requires the players to use four different sounds: Snare Drum (normal), Snare Drum Rim (counterhoop), Snare Drum (snares off), and Playing in the air (seen but not heard!) The primary educational goal (aside from using the different sounds) is to get players thinking about subdividing in order to get greater accuracy in performance. Players should realize that an eighth-note pulse is constantly implied throughout the piece, even if it isn't heard, and get used to not coming in too early or too late. Peformance Time: about 2:001 Score and 3 parts included suggested retail price: TO NHIMA MEMBERS: THIS TITLE QUALIFIES FOR A 15% Off Mail-In Rebate. CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT MORE! |
